The type of personal information collected
So Safeguarding Ltd only holds the data necessary to offer advertised services. This means we only process and hold data related to subscriptions, purchases and subsequent support related to those purchases, in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any processing of your data is only done to provide or perform the services or products you have requested.
We currently collect and process the following information:
• Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details)
• Data relating to newsletter subscription submitted by subscriber
• Newsletter user statistics
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
• Newsletter subscription
• Contract to provide services
• Contacting via the website or via for advice
We use the information that you have given us in order to provide services that you have requested. We do not share your data with a third party.
If you have subscribed to the So Safeguarding newsletter, Mailchimp collects your data on our behalf and provides user statistics.
If you book training via Eventbrite, Eventbrite collects your data on our behalf.
We regularly email news and information updates to those customers who have specifically subscribed to our email service. All subscription emails sent by us contain clear information on how to unsubscribe from our email service. Our email service is an opt-in service only; with your prior consent required in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You must enter your details into the email subscription page and submit them to us in order to receive the newsletter.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Elizabeth Rose (elizabeth@sosafeguarding.co.uk).

We keep all personal information for the time required to fulfil the services you have requested and our financial reporting obligations (e.g. accounting and tax submissions). We will then dispose your information by deleting all files.
We keep details of courses you have attended for two years. It is deleted after two years.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
